Since its inauguration on January 22, 1990, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has evolved into a crucial aviation hub in Southwest China. With the new terminal area and the third runway becoming operational on August 29, 2017, the airport upgraded to a 4F-level flight area. Presently, it boasts three runways (the longest being 3,800 meters), three terminal buildings (totaling 737,000 square meters), a 1.66 million square meters apron, 180 parking stands, and a 250,000 square meters cargo area. The airport is equipped to handle an annual passenger throughput of 45 million and a cargo and mail throughput of 1.1 million tons, accommodating large aircraft like the Airbus A380.
In recent years, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has experienced rapid growth in transportation production, launching 300 domestic and international routes in 2018 and connecting 61 cities across 26 countries on five continents. In 2018, passenger throughput exceeded 40 million, positioning the airport to join the top 50 airports worldwide.
To meet the demands of increasing passenger throughput, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport places high importance on the maintenance and upkeep of its high-altitude facilities. Therefore, the airport has chosen the Danish Falcon FS520C spider lift, supplied by Yacontee, as a key tool for aerial operations. This spider lift, renowned for its excellent performance and reliability, successfully addresses the challenges of high-altitude operations, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the airport's operations.
